Since 1958, the Naval Sea Cadet Corps has been a federally chartered and Navy-sponsored youth training program for young people ages 10-17 who train with the US Navy, US Coast Guard, and other military organizations.
We invite you to learn more about this youth program at www.seacadets.org.
Most units meet (drill) one weekend per month, 6 to 8 hours per day; others may choose to meet every Saturday.
In order to comply with Sea Cadet regulations, units must drill a minimum amount of hours each month.
Col Lewis L Millett Division drills typically one weekend per month with additional drills based on the calendar of events.
Weekend drills are sometimes held off base for camping, rock climbing, weapons safety training, parades, a trip to a Navy ship, community service, and more.
